This never occurred to me when I was younger, but Sonic had an interesting lesson to teach.

As long as you're rich, you'll be just fine.

Think about it. You can run around with reckless abandon, and if you get stopped you just lose all of your golden rings. But you have some time to collect most of it back and get rid of whatever hurt you...

It's only when you've completely run out of money that you die.
